Feb 26, 2008 Crazy body artist Jerome in world records
for largest forehead inflation by Gulliver
Montreal body and performance artist Jerome Abramovitch has
been known for dong some crazy things in his time.
This is one of them - the largest forehead inflation according
to the Guinness World Records (UK) 2007.
His signature work, says the famous records book, is forehead-inflation
- a means of face and forehead modification using saline injections.
Injecting the 8 fl oz (250 ml) of saline takes up to four
hours - and a further 24 hours is required for the saline
to disperse.
Jerome occasionally injects his cheeks with an additional
5 fl oz (150 ml).
Not surprisingly Guinness World Records recommends that YOU
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
Hey, we hadn't even thought of it!
"What else can I say?", says Jerome. "I'm the
only person in the world to ever do this and it is my signature
contribution to the extremely wild world of body altering
performance art.
"Originality will always get you noticed," he adds
On his Guinness World Record award of the title of "largest
forhead inflation" all he has to say is "crazy s***".
His only complaint is they wrote that he was from the USA,
and not Montreal.
Pictured above is a page from Burst magazine Japan, which
reports on the intense forehead sale injection Jerome did
in Toronto for a documentary movie.
Jerome admits that he was extremely pleased at how "totally
insale" his performance was for the movie.
Jerome has also featured on Ripley's Believe It Or Not and
the Ricki Lake Show.
He was in the Guinness World Records 2003 for achieving the
most body piercings using surgical needles.
He inserted into his chest, neck and arm a world record 200
surgical needles all 22 gauge and 1.5 inches long on October
31 1999.
All we can say is WOW!
And we are not going to try this at home either, or anywhere
else for that matter!
A black swan dumped by her lover has been reunited
with her old flame - a giant pedal boat in the shape of a white swan she
had been pining for all winter.
Petra made headlines all around the world in 2006 when she grew so fond
of the plastic boat she could not bear to be parted from it.
The romance between the odd couple blossomed after German zoo officials
in the town of Muenster released Petra on a local lake next to the boat.
She became so besotted with her pedal boat love that she refused to leave
its side, even refusing to mingle with the other swans.
